About Semi Permanent Makeup 

Also know as Micro-pigmentation, semi permanent makeup is popular treatment which makeup can last 1-5 years. Pigment is implanted into the dermal layer of the skin using a state of the art cosmetic tattoo machine which is unlike the standard tattoo machines. 

The idea of semi permanent makeup is to give clients  smudge free  makeup that last 24/7 no matter what age. 18 plus. 

Age requirement for the treatment is 18 and above. 

The reason its called semi permanent makeup is because we use a pigment rather than an ink which works with the skin natural undertones. Everyone skin is  different regarding pigment retention.

Factors that can effect longevity  are skin type, skin age, thickness off skin, use of skin care products , laser treatments , medication and sun exposure.

Annual colour boost is recommended but some people may require one at 6-9 months depending on lifestyle.

Consultation takes place before procedure, where we discuss medical history , colour choices and shape (Brows ) 

Before treatment 

For best results  clients will come back 4-8 weeks after initial treatment for touch up which is included in the price. 

On the first session the pigment is implanted into the skin lighter so the client get use to the colour and shape. On the second sessions the pigment becomes darker and more prominent.

After treatment pigment will appear darker this will lighten by 40% during healing process which is 2 weeks.

Area may be red and swollen after treatment.

Do not take  aspirin or ibuprofen 2 days before procedure.

Waxing area must be done 48 hours prior treatment. 

Tinting should be done prior treatment or 4 weeks post.

Do not drink alcohol 24 hours before treatment. 

Do not smoke on day of treatment to prevent area bleeding, swelling and bruising.

For eye procedures please remove all eyelash extensions , contact lenses and come with no mascara .

Botox and fillers need to be after 21 days either side of treatment.

Sun-beds 

client should not use sun-beds for 2 weeks prior treatment and at least 2 weeks minimum after their treatment.

They must use good quality sun block overt he treated area when they do use the sun-bed, and cover the area well. long term sun-bed use will have negative impact on the pigment retention and the colour stability of the pigment. Clients who abuse the sun-bed are not ideal for the treatment.
